So what? Who cares and why should it matter if you book John Paul Sharp? If you’re looking for an artist who performs with love, passion, and a sometimes outspoken point-of-view, Sharp will make your evening memorable. Most of all, Sharp cares about the world and what happens to all the living beings who preside here.
Sharp has spent time teaching, developing, and inspiring others to make more out of their lives. They have worked as an adjunct professor in a higher learning setting, working with adults of all types of socio-economic backgrounds. As the creative director of a nonprofit theater organization, Sharp gained higher-level organizational skills by raising the visibility of performers of color and further developing inexperienced writers and actors from marginalized communities.
Sharp has sung for a variety of audiences, from a couple of people to several thousand, when they got the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at their own graduation. Sharp’s music represents their outlook on life, which is, simply, to live and live well. You get all the emotions, all the heart and passion that can exist in one body. Sharp lays it all out there.
